With Captain Marvel being released on International Women's Day, I think it would be fitting to celebrate other influential and flat-out awesome female superheroes.
A lot of the time, the females are stronger than their male counterparts!
Let's break down some of my favorite women who could beat me up.
5. Jean Grey (X-Men)
Jean Grey has been described as the strongest mutant of all of the X-Men due to her Phoenix Force power raging inside.
This Force gives her the ability to basically do whatever she wants with her mind. She easily kills one of the strongest mutants of all time, Charles Xavier, in X-3.
This is no easy feat seeing as he was previously thought to be the strongest telepathic mutant.
Gamora is known as the deadliest woman in the galaxy far and wide.
This is mainly due to the fact that she was kidnapped by the mad titan Thanos and was forced to train and battle daily.
However, her conscious made her switch sides, and she now fights for what's good in the universe instead of being an assassin slave.
3. The Wasp
The Wasp is amazing to me mainly because she lacks powers but still does what is needed of her.
The shrinking suit would be useless if she didn't know hand-to-hand combat so well, so respect is given where it's due.
Plus her main goal of finding her mother in the Quantum Realm makes her that much more admirable.
Similar to The Wasp, Shuri has no physical powers. She does however have an incredibly intelligent mind, one of the most intelligent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
She is responsible for some of the most high-tech weaponry and flight systems in the world.
Without her tech, the Black Panther wouldn't be nearly as mighty.
1. Captain Marvel
Recently deemed the most powerful superhero ever, Captain Marvel is a force to be reckoned with.
Armed with photon blasts, super strength & speed, flight, and so much more, it's no surprise she was given this mantle.
You'll have to see the movie for yourself to truly appreciate her raw power.
I think it's absolutely amazing that women are being featured more predominantly in superhero roles.
If we all raise each other together, we create a much stronger & compassionate society.
