We all want to rise to our fullest potential, but we don’t exactly know how.
The days go by so quickly and all of a sudden it’s the weekend again and you want to go out with friends or relax by doing something mindless.
I want to help you stay on task and be productive so you can rise to your full potential.
Instead of asking yourself “what will make me feel happy?” ask yourself “what will make me feel whole?”
It might be true that going to bars and playing video games brings a smile to your face, but what would add meaning to your life. What will make you feel whole
What are your wildest dreams? Look at your life in its entirety.
Do you have dreams in your 20s and different dreams for your 30s? Write them all down!
Instead of getting caught up in all the details, focus on the big picture. Don’t be afraid to shoot for the stars!
You can start by writing down an outlandish fantasy and then look at the tangible ways that you might be able to achieve a realistic version of your dream.
Get out a piece of paper and write down your short-term and long-term goals.
Make a plan by setting an achievable goal for each day or week. You’ll feel like you’re accomplishing a lot and really making progress on getting what you want in life.
It’s easy to becoming directionless or just do things that will make you feel good in the short-term when you don’t set goals and make a specific plan.
Having a positive attitude can make a huge difference.
If you feel like a bummer and act like a bummer, it’s another hurdle to overcome on the way to reaching your fullest potential.
Don’t get down on yourself about the way your life is right now. If you are unhappy with your current situation, use it as motivation to make a positive change in your life.
1. Understand Yourself
Do you know your strengths? What are your passions? What distracts you?
Start paying attention to these things. If you are unsure about your strengths or skills, take a few assessments.
If you don’t know what your passions are, try a lot of things until you find intrinsic motivation to continue with it. This means that there aren’t any external rewards that make you want to keep going, such as money or compliments.
You love it because it brings you joy no matter what. If you know you’re distracted when friends text you and beg you to come out, turn your phone off. When you’re self-aware and understand yourself inside and out, you’ll thrive.
It can get be easy to go with the flow in life and always have fun, but sometimes you need to challenge yourself in order to grow.
Don’t take the easy and fun route every single time; push yourself and become better.
